Sarah and Gary graciously flew us down to Atlanta to capture their beautiful Summerour Studio Wedding earlier this year.

The moment we met Sarah and Gary the year prior for their engagement shoot at Jardin de Buis we fell in love with them as humans (yes, they traveled from Atlanta to the Philadelphia area for their engagement… now that is real appreciation for what we do as photographers). The easiest way to sum up just how special they are, was for us, wedding photographers with well over a decade of experience, was in how they interacted with their friends, family, and just about anyone they crossed paths with. At the night of the night Gary personally thanked each band member for putting on a such great party. What an actual gentleman.

Over the course of getting to know each other, they found out our favorite tequila (realistically, I likely couldn’t stop talking about it — Clase Azul — try it and thank us later) and mailed us some with this note,

Above all else in the wedding planning process, we were by far most anxious about booking a photographer. It was a terrifying decision to make, entrusting someone to effectively and beautifully capture every moment, detail, and emotion of the best day of our lives. We had a long list of requirements as we sifted through literally hundreds of photography websites, and yours was the first and only portfolio we found where we loved everything we saw.

You guys not only checked every single one of our boxes, but you brought things to the table that we didn’t even know we needed. I don’t think we can ever thank you guys enough for not only giving us the most stunning memories to keep with us forever, but also for becoming friends and making us feel so important every step of the way.

Although we already knew we hired the absolute best photographers and humans, we cannot even count the number of times we have heard it from others now. You two are artists that produce the most incredible images, and you do it with ease. Every time we look through our albums, we find new favorites and things to love about them. We wouldn’t trade having y’all be apart of our own journey and wedding for anything. We only wish we lived closer so we could drink Clase Azul together.

Christine and Paul’s stylish Glen Foerd Wedding on the Delaware in Philadelphia was one for the books. Starting out at Lokal Hotel in Old City, we documented some portraits on very rainy day in Old City, and then ended with some more stylish and editorial portraits at Glen Foerd before their ceremony.

Paul — an absolute firecracker of a human, and Christine — somewhat able to manage his energy are some of my favorite people we’ve documented. “At least he’s not boring,” she confided in me once after I told her that taking portraits of Paul is akin to filming the BBC’s Planet Earth. Gracious, kind, and engaging — my type of people.
